Dear parents, Most children do not read books anymore. If you get your child to read just ONE BOOK PER MONTH (canonical, classic) from age 10-18, they will be so far ahead of their peers by the time they reach college. Sincerely, A Teacher

Discovering the library as a child was one of the greatest joys of my life and I wouldn't be where I am today without the books I read there. I would like to say thank you to librarians for everything they do, both for reading and for their communities. #SupportYourLibrary

The practical takeaway: Students should USE the same language features in Paper 2 Q5 that they already use (often brilliantly ) in Paper 1 Q5. Examples can be found in my guide to English Language:

“You can’t handle the truth.” That courtroom explosion in A Few Good Men (1992) is iconic. Jack Nicholson went far bigger in rehearsal than expected, and Rob Reiner kept it, even adjusting Tom Cruise’s reactions to match the sudden intensity. https://t.co/FHxzgmaMru
