Misinformation isn't random - it's strategic. We carry out the first cross-national comparative study, examining 32M tweets from politicians. We find that misinformation is not so much a general condition: it is driven by populist radical right parties. with @julianachueri

Our new registered report is out in @Journal_PoPs! It explores how radical policies by political leaders impact their supporters. Check out @shirah_94's thread for key findings. Hopeful takeaway: Extreme actions by elites can backfire, leading to more moderate attitudes.

So proud of our new paper! We try to explain what hope is and how it could be measured. We offer a comprehensive overview of the Bidimensional Model of Hope, which describes hope in its most nucleus form and thus enables an understanding of hope in the broadest scope possible.

The Handbook of Affective Polarization is just out in a pre-print version. I think it will be an extremely valuable resource for scholars working on the concept. I was glad to contribute a chapter on how talking to people from the other party reduces partisan hostility.

Politicians in many countries are becoming increasingly extreme. They propose more radical solutions to societal problems and adopt a harsher rhetorical style. In a new study with @AlonZoizner, just out in @poqjournal, we examine citizens' responses to political extremity. /1
