I have no inside knowledge of the Packers inner workings, but with having a new CEO and President in Ed Policy, I wonder if he had any fingerprints on this deal. Not taking any credit away from Gutey, but everyone wants to start with a bang. I’d say this is a grand slam for Ed.

I’d say at best, the 20th best rookie in the next 2 drafts and a 10th year DT. I have to think that Gutey and his front office crew are literally slamming champagne right now.
So two total draft picks and one player? That’s it for Parsons.

Fact is, Jerry Jones being the owner AND GM gives him the ability to think LONG TERM and not feel the pressure of his job hanging in balance. Another GM is immediately on hot seat if this doesn't work. Jerry, as GM, can make a decision without that factor or concern of his job.

Have to think backup Tackle now becomes a big target in the waiver wire.
I'm as surprised as anyone by Skipper's release. He filled in for Decker, flashed typical swing tackle versatility. I like Jamarco Jones, too, but he had a lot of minor things that knocked him out of practices this offseason, and I'd be lying if I said I thought Manu was ready.
