What shocking news about Russell Norman. He’s my guest on this week’s Cooking the Books recorded just 2 weeks ago. I’m so glad I asked him the question about drama. You can hear his smile. RIP lovely man. Listen; https://t.co/01LbW5tagh

If you want a good chuckle this Friday morning, read this brilliant article from @spectator: French food is the most disappointing in the world

France has done an excellent job of preserving its culinary heritage. That has made its food uninteresting.

The developers slapped beige paint on the Whitechapel Bell Foundry to cover up the graffiti and obliterated the 19th century woodgraining. It is painful to witness this decay, when @thelondonbellf are offering to buy it to cast bells again and cherish the historic buildings.

Quite right! Thanks for this. What a great way to learn the alphabet, makes me long for an apple pie, although the net result might be that tiny tots are encouraged to chase after any apple pie they see.
A joy to read. From the ever-flowing pen & roving eye of the Gentle Author. @thegentleauthor Do look. You will be enchanted. I make that promise to you. https://t.co/uiFpjPCmts
