Australia's immigration fuelled #population explosion will come to be viewed as the biggest mistake we've ever made. Do you want your name counted as among those who resisted? sign/share:

FACT: Growing #populations make both emissions control and climate adaption, much more difficult- if not impossible.
Prof James Hansen, 2013: if we have any love for our children and grandchildren we can't accept catastrophic 2°C of global warming Prof James Hansen, 2025: the 2°C target is dead because global energy use is rising and will keep rising given this political economy

https://t.co/2gEVWYvQfu SPA separates #racism from the #population issue. We are where it's about numbers, not race. As such, we welcome all Australians, of all backgrounds to join, & help drive our movement for a stabilised population ... for the common good.

Why can’t any of the environmentalists in Oz tell us that more people equals more environmental degradation? More people more environment derogation More Plastic, more landfill more air pollution more of everything nasty We have to get back to a population that is in balance

A lesson ignored??
@Peter_Strachan @SustPopAus In 1900 the wealthiest countries in the world per capita were Australia, New Zealand and Argentina. Small populations but abundant agricultural and mineral resources. Argentina went from 8 million to 40 million without creating manufacturing wealth, became a 3rd world country.

To those who don't know- the bar on the far left was what we once considered normal, manageable, responsible... & beneficial. Then the Big Australia/mass immigration parasites got their claws into our politicians.
In the year to July, Australia saw the highest ever number of net long term and permanent arrivals. We are currently running 56.3% above 2019 levels.

Yet, in the face of this, #Australia chases a deliberate #population explosion. In who's world is this a responsible reaction??? "Say NO to a Big Australia!" sign share:
It appears to me we have passed a major tipping point in the climate with huge impacts to Antarctica. This magnitude of temperature anomaly (image) is astounding and is likely to be part of a new long term trend. This is not about merely the possibly record stratospheric warming

#Population growth destroys living standards every where it goes. Problem is, it can also drive short term corporate profits, especially among the parasites who attach themselves to it.
@SustPopAus Living standards in most African countries are far lower today than they were during colonisation, largely due to massive population growth. The continent is a disaster.

@SustPopAus I was in Kenya when its population was 13 million in 1974, the same as Australia at the time. Now it is 58 million, and 6 million live on a garbage dump outside of Nairobi, recently renamed Now-rob-me.

https://t.co/uCVT1OFnIZ Here's the problem- once you pin jobs in a local economy to housing construction for a growing population... it can never stop. In fact it must constantly accelerate to continue jobs for the existing tradies PLUS all the new arrivals.

The reaction was swift and one-sided to a state government plan for 12-storey residential buildings in this famously particular Melbourne suburb.

#Immigration has been well above levels which "serve the nation" since Howard doubled them (so for 20 years) What's happening now is treasonous- our nation is now in rapid decline.

#Population growth has become the monster Australia can no longer control, ... seeing as how we've pinned our entire economy to it!

Nairobi- then and now. It seems every nation once had an optimal #population size- .. for minimal eco-impact & maximum quality of life. It seems every nation sailed straight past it- in blind pursuit of "growth". #overpopulation

In our presentation last night Prof Corey Bradshaw gave evidence that the causes of climate change were 20% consumption & 80% population growth. A full recording will be available on our You Tube channel in about 1 week. Thanks to all who attended or watched on-line.

Wages would be 7.5% higher after 10 years of no migration, and the unemployment rate would be 0.2 percentage points lower, KPMG modelling showed. “Pulling back population growth to just natural increases for the next decade is not a great outcome for Australia," says KPMG's chief

and still we plow on under the assumption that bigger is somehow better, ... that there is no such thing as biophysical limits, nor population stability at optimal scale. #insanity
Fun Facts: 100 years ago- world population was less than 2 billion. Melbourne was less than 1 million. Now we're at 8.2 billion & approx 5.5 million respectively ... & still growing!
