I am late highlighting this important work led by @mevanneman. A very important group, Veterans with mental health conditions, have poorer satisfaction with VA-purchased community care.
Veterans with mental health conditions had worse experiences with @VeteransHealth-purchased community care (CC) than other Veterans. https://t.co/LlRrJW4aY6

More important findings for @BryantShuey in @JAMA_current about changes in binge drinking by sex and age group.
New in JAMA, we find that the sex-based gap in binge and heaving drinking among adults has narrowed further, with young adult females now binge drinking at a higher rate than their male counterparts.

Canada. Always there for us…in big ways (operation yellow ribbon) and small ways. #thankyou
And shout out to @BogochIsaac who kindly offered to share resources with his American colleagues who were left in the lurch by their government.

Tariffs on pharmaceutical drugs manufactured in Canada could raise US costs by $750 million and strain supply chains, with brand-name drugs likely absorbing short-term increases.

Finished season 1 The Pitt on @StreamOnMax. I agree w/ EM physicians that it is a realistic portrayal of ED.. though EM pharmacists are absent from the series. We need an EM PharmD character in season 2 so the public can finally see what we do!

The new Max series, produced by ‘ER’ alums and set in an emergency ward, has earned the respect of real-life medical professionals.

Consider applying! You do not have to be a pharmacist to participate and is at a reasonable cost. My participation in @ACCP FIT got me on the path to submitting grants. And now…oodles of grants.
Are you planning to apply for the ACCP Foundation Mentored Research Investigator Training (MeRIT) or Focused Investigator Training (FIT) program? Letters of intent for the 2025 programs are due February 28: https://t.co/c38EYNJ2tP

I am honored to be selected for the @ASHPFoundation 2024 Literature Award for Sustained Contributions. Without amazing collaborators, mentorship from senior faculty and peers, and a lot of grit, our research influencing change would not have been possible.
The Literature Award for Sustained Contributions recipient is Katie J. Suda, PharmD, MS, from the University of Pittsburgh Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy. @pittpharmacy
