Bottom line: Findings highlight opportunities to build on the strengths of some integrated care programs. However, there is a critical need to improve how models of financial integration translate into *clinical care integration*.

3) Many studies had limited ability to control for selection bias (major problem because enrollment in integrated care programs is voluntary).

2) The strength of evidence varies across different models and is limited in critical areas – e.g., understanding patient experiences with integrated care and outcomes in key patient subgroups (people with serious mental illness).

1) Some integrated care programs (PACE & FIDE-SNPs) show promise in helping dual-eligible benes receive care in the community & reduce long-term nursing home stays. These changes are consistent with patient preferences to receive care in the community & and are less expensive.
