Authors of these motions simply have to submit them as amendments to the party leader’s motion. They will be heard and debated, then party members will decide what gets passed. Nobody is being shut down. Let’s stop playing into the hands of the unionist press.

I think this a misrepresentation, the reaction to which has been a bit overblown, and the reason behind it quite simple. You can’t have several conference motions on the same issue but calling for different things - if they all passed, it would be an absolute mess.

I’m extremely grateful to everyone that’s donated to me so far, and I’m really pleased to have passed my fundraising goal for Medical Aid for Palestinians. There’s still a few weeks to go - if anyone can spare a few pounds, it’d be hugely appreciated 🙏.

Finished my 9 week surgical placement this morning - I thoroughly enjoyed it, super interesting & learned a huge amount! The nurses I worked with were so kind, patient, and very knowledgable - a real credit to the NHS 🩺
