The PM and Chancellor rolled the pitch for big tax rises by telling the public there was a massive black hole in the nation's funding. All the time they were doing this, they **KNEW** it wasn't true, but did it anyway. Bloody hell.

BREAKING The OBR says it informed Rachel Reeves as far back as ***September 17*** that the downgrade in productivity forecasts was offset by 'increases in real wages and inflation'. The deficit was in fact just £2.5billion By October 31 that deficit had turned into net positive

The Conservative Party believes the country should live within its means. This truth cannot be avoided. Keir Starmer doesn't know what he believes, so it is mistake after mistake, u-turn after u-turn. With no plan to get people into work, no plan to cut spending...no strategy.

March business founder Kev Banks (of U-wood Bespoke Designs) didn't think he'd qualify for an Investment in Business grant, but he did and said it has been a 'game changer'. Your business could get up to £25,000 too. Discover more and apply: https://t.co/XpNZcsEGlH

Horrified about potholes in #Wisbech. The situation is bad everywhere but this Lib/Lab Council deliberately ignores the Fens 😢 Lib/Lab councillors want you out of their car. The franchising plan depends on a 15% reduction in car use by 2030 🚘 My message - JUST FIX OUR ROADS💪

Speaking to residents across Cambridgeshire with @paulbristow79 it’s clear they have had enough of Labour and their mayoral tax rises. They have nothing to show for it. Vote Conservative on 1st May for better services and lower taxes.

Was asked a few questions in the pub after campaigning. I asked my mate to film them. 🎥 I understand why people are disillusioned - but Nigel Farage is not on the ballot paper in this election - a vote for Reform in the Mayoral election just lets Labour or the Lib Dems win 🗳️🥀

So sad this was April fools. It should have been a Christmas item, as it's what millions wish for.

@ChrisHowellCam @SteveCount I'm alright Jack. I've passed the rat run to other local streets instead. Reversing would be a very popular measure with the majority of users who were not included in the consultation

@SteveCount I lived in Romsey for many years and 100% approve of this policy to reopen the bridge. Travesty they managed to close it for residents and local business owners.

The closure of Mill Road Bridge is all part of the war on the private motorist, waged by the Liberal Democrat and Labour run County Council and GCP. If elected Conservatives will begin the process to reopen it.

@SteveCount @lornadupre It absolutely is if the budget is maintained from existing receipts. Constantly pumping up tax is a sign of mis-management and poor value for money / waste. Tax rises are the easy way out if you can’t manage your budget effectively.

Strange that Lorna Dupre, Lib Dem & Anna Smith, Labour, both state fixing roads a priority. And yet it is those two parties that share administration at CCC where they seem to agree that they’ve failed abysmally. Lorna is actually deputy Leader CCC Lib Dem’s so hand on the wheel.

🌟THE CONGESTION CHARGE CANDIDATE🌟 We all know road charging is in the Labour Mayor’s Transport Plan. Now the Lib Dems have selected a candidate who was unapologetically positive about congestion charging for #Cambridge 🚗💰 If I am Mayor, I will never allow road charging 👍
