Med students. If you buy two $5 coffees /week every week for the entirety of school, the cost will be about $2400 for 4 years. If such a routine gives you life, don’t NOT do it. Saving $2400 is not going to make a real dent in the $400,000 you’re gonna owe from tuition.

Having an R1 class as enthusiastic as this one sure makes being chief resident that much sweeter. Class selfies in the elevator on day 1 during the hospital tour was the ultimate green flag 😂. Can’t wait to watch them grow, they are shining already @BWHRadEdu 📸 🤳 🧀 🩻

On my way to Chicago for Pickles Group’s first ever @ASCO Annual Meeting. Come say hi and meet our team, board and even some of our Pickles Kids at #ASCO24! More parents than ever have cancer— and more kids need the cancer support community to have their back along the way.

I’m probably not the only one, but seeing this makes me sad. My heart goes out to all the clinical trial participants, their families, their doctors, and the scientists who keep fighting the good fight against cancer every day. Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.
After accounting for biases and confounders, cancer clinical trial participation was not associated with longer survival.

Today is special bc it’s match day but also bc it’s my dad’s birthday! He has been my biggest cheerleader since day 1, battled cancer 2x, mounted tv’s in more of my apartments than I can count, can make me laugh in any situation, & is my best friend. Shoutout to the girl dads❤️

As outgoing wellness chair for my residency program, this piece is really disappointing @NEJM. I’ve planned countless ‘wellness’ events that have brought my coresidents and I closer together, improving workplace morale & camaraderie. Dissing wellness initiatives is not the move. .
NEJM has put out 3 separate pieces of anti-wellness content in the last few weeks. Here’s the problem with their thesis - duty hour limitations are not a wellness intervention. They are a workers rights issue along with low wage labor, FMLA, and maternity leave.
