A very busy week in Harrisburg where I had the chance to welcome students from @SteelCenterCTE & @WestMifflinArea Air Force JROTC to the PA Capitol! I also had 2 of my bills passed by the @PAHouseLabor and Consumer Protection committees + a public hearing on a 3rd bill.

Tech. Ed. Day in Harrisburg happy to meet with and learn all about @SteelCenterCTE. National Technical Honor Society students, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, School Counselor, and Executive Director told the Steel Center story and advocated for increased CTE funding.

BPHS students Jacob Borkowski (Carpentry), Shawn Carnahan (Collision Repair), Gabriella Balkovec (Cosmetology), Lily Janus (Veterinary Assistance) and Blaise Roberto (Building Trades) are the @SteelCenterCTE February Students of the Month in their respective programs.

.@TJHSJaguars Counselors took 80-plus 9th grade students to @SteelCenterCTE to learn more about classes offered & numerous opportunities available once #TJ students begin 10th grade. #WJHSD and TJ are proud partners with the Steel Center for Career & Technical Education! #WErTJ

School receives $4 million state grant for renovations

We are very grateful to Governor Tom Wolf for awarding us with a $4 million dollar Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant to help fund our upcoming renovation. With bi-partisan support from from all of our legislators, the future just got brighter #pathway2success
