It's National Intern Day! I was happy to welcome Mwango Kasuba to the team as an intern this summer. He is a graduate of Baldwin-Whitehall and a sophomore at Duquesne University. He's been an asset to our office, helping to serve our constituents. We're lucky to have him!

My family made our annual visit to the Schwirian Farm Sunflower Festival in Forward Township this week! We love coming to see the sunflowers every year. The festival runs through tomorrow, July 31st, so be sure to swing by if you haven't yet!

I was glad to join Per Scholas yesterday at the ribbon cutting for their new Glassport satellite campus. This non-profit offers tuition-free technology training, preparing folks to enter in-demand tech jobs, and I'm excited to have this opportunity in the Mon Valley.

As we close out National Hot Dog month, I had to drop by Jim's Famous Sauce in West Mifflin. I love any excuse to support a great local business—and grab a cheese dog and a ham and cheese!
