Today whilst metal detecting, I found a wish list item! It’s a military dog tag. This should be able to be traced all the way to the original owner, I am about to start my research into it. Can’t quite believe I found it.

I am sad to report the death of ATA Association Commodore & First Officer 'Spitfire Girl' Mary Wilkins Ellis. Aged 101, she flew 400 Spitfires and 76 different types of aircraft during WW2, died this morning at her home on the Isle if Wight. post courtesy of Melody Foreman
