Today, Armistice Day, we remember those who fought & died in WWI, North & South, Catholic & Protestant, fighting for many reasons. Europe is again at war. We are reminded that war is cruel, wrong and often futile. Only a just peace can last. We remember them. Lest we forget.

The Hospital's Parade entrance will re-open tomorrow morning (Sat 12 Nov), from 7 am to 8 pm. All visitors to the Hospital must continue to wear masks and are thanked for continuing to do so. Please do not visit the Hospital to see a patient if you feel unwell.

Obesity has become so common in our society I'm not sure that enough people fully acknowledge the severe negative health consequences. It's not healthy and we shouldn't pretend it is. No doubt I'll be accused of 'fat-shaming', but it's true and people need to hear it.
