The @Seafarers_KGFS charity is saddened to learn of the death of one of our Vice Presidents, Admiral of the Fleet Sir Benjamin Bathurst GCB. As Chair, on behalf of all trustees and staff, I send my condolences to Lady Bathurst, his family and @Convent_Gib HE the Governor 🇬🇮

Today marks Merchant Navy Day. Our Merchant Navy were the first victims of the Second World War and more than 54,000 merchant seafarers lost their lives in the World Wars. My staff attended an event in Rushden today and was glad to see the Red Ensign flying.
