This morning Capt Wingrove presented 3/O(SE) McWatson with a Herbert Lott Efficiency award for his efforts to keeping TIDESPRING going. He’s taken on additional maintenance & defect rectification covering every part of the ship from the bottom plates to the top of the mast! BZ!

Also this morning, the Commanding Officer and others were hosted at the Governor’s residence, Plantation House, where we also got to meet the amazing Jonathan, the world’s oldest living creature, estimated to be around 194 years old! @RFAHeadquarters

This morning the Commanding Officer laid a wreath at the Cenotaph of St Helena to commemorate all those lost on RFA Darkdale when she was torpedoed and sunk in 1941 whilst at anchor. @GO_ASHT @RFAHeadquarters

RFA Tidespring, a Tide-class replenishment tanker of the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary built in South Korea in 2016, is visiting St Helena this week. On Wednesday (26 Nov) around 100 crew are expected to visit the island with a wreath-laying at the Cenotaph in Jamestown.
