This is a GREAT catch. @GaryGensler embarrassed Senate Dems, especially Liz Warren. He’s embarrassed Biden. He’s cost the Dems Senate seats and maybe the White House. The House is also now imperiled. They are paving the way for a landslide FIT 21 vote and Gensler resignation.
Potentially noteworthy that @garygensler didn’t specify whether this statement was in his personal or official capacity, or whether it represents the actual view of the @SECGov commission (both past and present). Plausible deniability? Gary on an island? Time will tell
