As someone who used to maintain a tech blog with extremely niche tech, I can say it helped me get a couple jobs, actually. For a while my article appeared above Google's own documentation on their own feature. I would /NOT/ have moved from Amsterdam to Seattle either TBF.

But…I’m a vaccine scientist, I develop vaccines, including a low-cost patent-free COVID vaccine that reached 100 million people (and perhaps saved 300,000-500,000 lives). That’s what I do, it’s why I was invited. He’s upset I don’t pretend to be a wellness/supplement influencer?.

Because of talent pool economics and the tools recruiters use, folks try to game the filters. Hiring managers tend to write reqs with project specific tech needs. So listing every potential technology is how unscrupulous folks get through.

Hiring is so broken. Recruiters are given spec sheets for imaginary engineers defined by short term project goals and told "find this person, we need them 3 days ago". I always try to sit with tech recruiters where I work to understand how their filter is set.
I started out on the companies side like HOW DARE SOMEONE DO THAT but now NOT GUNNA LIE KINDA FEELS LIKE ITS YOUR FAULT.

We need to reduce costs to test and treat which will reduce fears. We need to prioritize that above everything else. Doing so will reassure people also.
Final thought: We don't need AI that can diagnose every rare disease. We need AI that knows when to diagnose and when to reassure. That's the real art of medicine. But what do you think?.

It's not a perfect system but there's zero chance that selling millions of acres off to private ownership improves the situation. Sure there's probably a rational justification for selling some here and there but this is a land rush. Ask your local tribes how that works out.
