UPDATE 1: SR 547 is BACK OPEN in Sumas. SR 9 remains CLOSED through town between Morgan Road and the Canadian border (mp 96-98). Our crews are monitoring conditions on SR 9 through Sumas. We will open the road when it is safe for travel.

Our crews are making progress opening roads affected by this week's storms. The SR 20 closure at mp 114 northeast of Marblemount is cleared. The road is open btwn Rockport & Diablo Lake (mp 130). SR 20 North Cascades Highway IS CLOSED for the season btwn mps 134 and 171.

Today's sunrise is beautiful & in many places the water is receding but this is also deceiving. If you encounter ROAD CLOSED signs, please observe them. You don't know what's on the other side. Crews are still out doing damage assessments & repairs. We'll open as soon as we can.
