Why it matters? Different studios, artists and asset markets have vastly different needs for asset management. No one size fits all. Blender should *help* studios get a better pipeline; not limit or dictate what to do. That said, Blender should provide common pipeline tooling.

I keep seeing people call the new #b3d Asset Browser an "Asset Manager" - that's not what it is☝️. You manage your own assets, you are the asset manager. Or maybe your studio has scripts/people doing it. But Blender just has a view into asset libraries & some tools: A browser.
