@TTRadioOfficial @tombennett71 Shameful ignorance dangerously dressed up as knowledge! His claims and methods crumble when challenged. Probably the biggest charlatan of modern education imo

The term "challenging behaviour" can place a lot of negative emphasis on the child & masks a deeper understanding. Some pupils are carrying the weight of challenging circumstances, trauma, neglect A little understanding & kindness can make all the difference. 🧠🌱

This is getting quite serious for the Chancellor. In the run up to the Budget we were told that the OBR’s downgrading of productivity would create a multi-billon black hole. The government started preparing public opinion for a manifesto-breaking rise in income tax. We were not

A video for @reformparty_uk & anyone else ignorantly spouting rubbish about SEND being over diagnosed or costing too much. The crisis has been caused by local and central Govt not by parents and children #SendNationalScandal #SaveOurChildrensRights https://t.co/6IJ4WmDO8T

@tstarkey1212 The detail’s not quite right in that thread, but one key bit is: the OBR are saying that the DfE’s revenue budget will pick up the additional cost of SEND if the budgets DfE already delegate to LAs get blown So it might affect other things the DfE fund too: HE, FE, skills etc

ā€˜4.9% real fall in mainstream school spending per pupil.’ No wonder an increasing number of friends & colleagues who voted Labour are now apologising. I can’t understand why anyone would vote for this government & these policy decisions.

Quite a big correction by the OBR here. Reeves has nuked schools budget, but somehow forgot to mention it.

A reminder that many of our young people come to our schools with a low, emotionally developmental age rather than their chronological age due to chaos and adversity. Under stress, emotionally challenged young people will behave in a way that reflect their emotional age.🧠🌱

"Our schools cannot take any more. Our children cannot take any more". Earlier this week @DanielKebedeNEU addressed the crowd at the People's Assembly protest ahead of the Budget. The Chancellor has done nothing to alleviate the crisis. We must fight to save our schools.

Help Jo and team to kickstart a film called Unauthorised Absence about a SEND parent accused of FII. If just 1000 can ping Ā£1 over they’ll reach target for the next phase. An award winning actress has chosen a part after reading the script! Read here… https://t.co/bDNAPVxVgL

"Inconsistent experiences" for families of children with SEND in EAST RIDING (Yorks) say Ofsted/CQC inspectors. It's getting better since the previous abject failure, but "some parents’, carers’ and children and young people’s views remain mixed." https://t.co/RSe9sEHQgB

ā€œThe rising number of education, health and care plans reflects a genuine and growing need, not parental opportunism. Yet instead of expanding specialist capacity, the government appears intent on making it harder for families to secure support, most worryingly through proposals
