Hi 👋 🌹@UKLabour Councillor for Great Harwood in Hyndburn. Cabinet Member for Business and Growth. CIHCM, Fabian and @CoopParty member. 🐝🌹 Views my own

Never trust the Green Party, they're a mess of contradictions and will do or say what they need to do for power wherever they are. In Camden, trying to stop much needed housebuilding, in other places opposing solar farms, here in Hyndburn they were in coalition with the Tories 🤷♂️
BREAKING: Camden Greens call on Labour to *pause* housebuilding 🧐❎ Aged 35 or younger? Struggling with affording to rent in Camden? Thinking of voting Green at the election? They don't care about you.

Thank you to the Great Harwood Branch of the Royal British Legion for a very poignant Armistice Day Service today on the Town Gate. An impeccably observed two minutes silence from all who attended. Lest we forget

And your answer is... blame Labour? This is the fallout from YOUR Brexit, YOUR chaos, YOUR broken economy. We're cleaning up YOUR mess 🧹 #ToryMadeCrisis
Unemployment at its highest rate since lockdown. 180,000 jobs have been lost in the past year. Private sector wages growing at their slowest since March 2021. Life under Labour: higher unemployment, more welfare. Only @Conservatives have a plan to get Britain working again.

This is why the hard right in Britain wants to destroy the BBC. It’s not because they want impartiality, they’ve benefitted from Tories at the top platforming them, they want free rein to plug the gaps of mistrust with conspiracy and disinfo so they can attain unchecked power.

🚨📉 Major new paper by Stanford professor @I_Am_NickBloom and coauthors. They find Brexit has: ⬇️ Reduced UK GDP by 6-8% ⬇️ Reduced investment by 12-18% ⬇️ Reduced employment by 3-4% ⬇️ Reduced productivity by 3-4%

It’s right that the BBC is scrutinised. It must always uphold accuracy and impartiality. These values are fundamental to its Charter. But let’s be real about what’s also going on. There is a concerted effort to destroy one of Britain’s greatest institutions. Without the BBC, in a

Basically, we need to be finding Traitor viewers that would rather be Faithfuls than Traitors to get the Labour vote out for the next set of elections. 🤷♂️

This Reeves stuff is precisely why tons of us don’t go into politics. You could literally put the wrong bin out and find the Daily Mail on your doorstep within hours. Much of our political media seem to think journalism is just oscillating between court jester and vulture.

Lee Anderson boasts about “gaming the system” at Citizens Advice—then uses it to justify slashing support for anxious young people. This isn’t a critique of CAB. It’s a dubious confession from a Reform MP who sees compassion as weakness and lived experience as fraud.

Good to see Reform embracing the drive for Net Zero (Councillors) in Kent.

Congratulations @LucyMPowell, a fantastic win and one that is right for our party. 🌹
Congratulations @LucyMPowell, Labour’s newly elected Deputy Leader. Lucy has always been a proud defender of Labour values, and that is exactly what we need in this moment. Together, we will fight for Britain. For decency and national renewal.

🏴🌹A statement from Mainstream's Interim Council on Labour's tragic loss in Caerphilly. We will be wiped out in Wales next May without a major reset.

Labour has done lots of good things, but the public haven’t heard them. Elect me to help Labour tell a stronger story and put the politics back in the conversation. Voting ends tomorrow at 12pm, Thursday 23rd October.

10 babies per day are born in this country as a result of rape Up until now, men can demand access to those children, retraumatising the mothers & endangering the children The gov has listened & is stopping that. I’m thrilled 🎉🎉🎉 https://t.co/u3zXCULG51

This school stopped mobile use by giving students a lock bag, which magnetically seals the mobile in a pouch for the duration of a day. I asked my daughter what she'd do if they did this at her school. "I'd just put an old phone in it." 🤷♂️🤣 https://t.co/Feo1RlIeVX

With every single day, it becomes more and more apparent that Brexit was the biggest act of self-sabotage in British history, where we chose to follow a rose tinted non-existant nostalgia over national interest. Voting Reform just doubles down and accelerates this disaster.
