Here's some nice views of the gearset inside a @FIAFormulaE car. Made by @ZF_Group the car's use a single speed reduction gear, that transfers torque from the motor to the differential. Low friction and efficiency are paramount.

Let's help out if anyone is wondering: Red: Aero pressure sensors on the spoiler. They measure pressure at points across the spoiler to help correlate with and improve CFD data. Blue: distance sensor pointed sideways so you can more accurately tell how far car is from wall

Looks like NASCAR's offseason test at North Wilkesboro Speedway is happening now, per Connor Zilisch's Instagram story. NASCAR testing the 2026 increase to 750 HP as well as tire & potential aero changes.

Plans to ban Aprilia's leg wings with immediate effect have been shelved. One manufacturer is very pissed off! The ban will be reconsidered for 2027 as part of MotoGP's biggest regulations shakeup since the 990s arrived in 2002. Big thanks to my sources! https://t.co/noJfdA0BeC

And Mercedes are running a special front wing system to replicate some of the 2026 changes with the new Pirelli tyres. All teams were allowed to come up with a system if they wanted - Ferrari also has one according to Pirelli #F1

It looks like Andretti (😆) are to run front pull rod and the same downwash 'anti dive' geometry as we've already seen on other #F1 cars. Notice how short the fuel tank is, a third less race fuel needed for 2026. 📷 F1TV & Cadillac F1

The venturi inside the donut lowers the pressure and static ports pick up this lower pressure, which is then used as the differential by the pressure scanner. This will give the most accurate reading, ideal for understanding underfloor pressures going into the new rules in 2026.
