Honestly I've not listened to many racing podcasts ever, but for the last few weeks The Teardown has been can't-miss.
I really want to thank @Jordan_Bianchi for being the best possible teammate anyone could ask for during these nine days. And genuinely, thanks for all the support YOU gave us. We definitely felt the love and are so appreciative.

Inside the box is likely a lidar distance sensor like this Techmor unit. They are only accurate to 1cm, so not great for ride heights, but they work better in larger distances than the ones used for height sensing.

Let's help out if anyone is wondering: Red: Aero pressure sensors on the spoiler. They measure pressure at points across the spoiler to help correlate with and improve CFD data. Blue: distance sensor pointed sideways so you can more accurately tell how far car is from wall
Looks like NASCAR's offseason test at North Wilkesboro Speedway is happening now, per Connor Zilisch's Instagram story. NASCAR testing the 2026 increase to 750 HP as well as tire & potential aero changes.

Don't get me wrong: some of my best designs come from vibes. But those vibes are very carefully calibrated from 15 years of knowing what will and will not work. Nothing wrong with 3d printing engine bits if you're using the right material. This clearly wasn't it

Shame Dover is all star race only with the st/750 package
Bristol won't be the only one moving from the intermediate aero package to the short track aero package along with the 750hp engine. The following tracks also get the 750hp (TS1170) and small diffuser (ST/RC) combo in 2026: Bristol Darlington Dover Gateway Nashville

They could pretty easily change body attitudes with different shock lengths or rub block heights, but to get closer to Xfinity they have to find a way to get compliance into it. Truck arms and 15" rims have lots of wiggle. The next gen car has almost none.
NASCAR says it will also explore tweaks to the NextGen car in addition to the 750 spacer next month for the test at Wilkesboro. I asked a lot of drivers and crew chiefs over the last month what swings they want to see tried in addition to the HP increase. https://t.co/2eIyyVYOPd
