Vigorous exercise improves cognition and delays brain aging. Exercise causes muscles to produce lactate, which travels to the brain, triggering the production of neurotransmitters like norepinephrine and neurotrophic factors like BDNF. New episode on why we should incorporate

In summary: Know what game you are playing and why you are playing it. Ruthlessly prioritize autonomy, mastery, belonging, health, and meaning over pretty much everything else—especially the bright and shiny objects by which we are all too easily tempted.

Researchers studied the effects of a 20-minute walk on the cognitive performance of a group of children. This is fascinating…

The doping crisis in our sport is disheartening. As a fan it’s hard to know what to believe. As an athlete it’s hard to know who’s beating you clean. When an athlete fails a drug test, they steal moments from other competitors. We need change, accountability & lifetime bans.

Patience During Puberty by @TStellingwerff: it's normal and healthy for female athletes to undergo changes in their bodies as they hit puberty and begin menstruating. Our FASTR team loved Trent's article so much 👏 we created an infographic for it! https://t.co/9mdp06RGGk
