Podcasts are almost entirely worthless. But one thing they’ve done is demystify people. Mafia guys are just thugs and morons mostly. CIA guys - they’re not impressive. They come across like shoe store employees. Would have been better off keeping their mouths shut.

Love this study. Congrats @SJGreene_md! Instead of assuming reasons, lets ask physicians to audit their own patients and explain why they dont intensify GDMT Conclusion: inertia (perception of patient as clinically stable) If we do not ask the real reason, we will never solve it

Tirzepatide also improved the coprimary endpoint of improved quality of life (⬆️ KCCQ-CSS of 9.8) All key secondary endpoints were met: 6MWD, hsCRP, and 15.7% ⬇️ in weight! Only issue is "HF worsening" includes diuretic intensification (not only CV💀+HFH). Will FDA accept it?

Another summit (see what I did here?) in the HFpEF revolution! The dual GLP1/GIP mimetic tirzepatide improves outcomes in HFpEF with obesity! SUMMIT trial showed 38% ⬇️ in HF outcomes (=time-to-first HFH, oral diuretic intensification and CV death)!!

@dranulala "Stable" heart failure is a misleading term. Mortality risk in these patients is much higher than even those with worse ASCVD. @dranulala Very eye opening! HF Grand Rounds @HarringtonHVI @CWRUSOM
