Small update on the human powered exoskeleton ⚙️ . After breaking countless 3D-printed parts, I can finally suit up by stepping in and closing both sides of the chest plate. It’s not related to human augmentation yet, but I thought it was pretty lame to have a fully functional
Im building my own powered exoskeleton!(update). The CAD is looking a bit better on the upper body, I’m right now trying to figure out a way to suit up easier and I’m experimenting with different types of latches and hinges. I landed on a toque hinge and these latches I found on

I’m building a powered exoskeleton! CADing and sketching for a few days now, already prototyping stuff! . (Solidworks keeps crashing on me lol)

Finally after 2 months of work I got to announce the EXO-RANGER project. I envision the “ranger_001” becoming the world’s most functional full body powered exoskeleton “Ironman suit”. With inspiration from the first Ironman movie (2008) and @thehacksmith first exoskeleton

Probably the last update of the powered exoskeleton for now! This is the latest arm prototype, perfect fit first try! Working on the placement of the control panel. All 7DoF work just fine for now. Connection to torso will be interesting. Soo happy to report getting pretty

Briefcase expandable exoskeleton suit? . After symposium I had to fix and print again broken parts, looking good now, ready to work on what’s next!. Went to demo at AI tinkerers in Toronto and realized the full upper body of the suit can be fold to be contained in a small/easy to

BEHIND THE SCENES of Exo-Ranger project. Most people didn’t get to see this during symposium day but after going to bed at 8, finishing up prints and waking up at 11 the day of so many crazy things happened. I have never been so mad at a print fail. My friend Andrei drove me to

The pleasure is all mine! Thank you for the support and believing in me and my project :).
Love that @mergedotclub gets to be the first backer of inspiring builders like Santiago. He’s incredible and has been running down this dream for a long time. People literally swarmed him after his demo asking if they could take pictures with him — a real-life Iron Man.

Get ready, because this is happening very soon…🔧. After an exhausting but rewarding almost 6 hours photoshoot on Tuesday, I’m so happy to see how this website that @5P47K is helping me bring to reality is really moving forward. Now I know I got the right person for the job.

@DStrachman I started using sketching as a tool for my mech projects exactly a year ago, and I haven’t stopped since. It’s in almost all my posts. What would take too long to explain in words or model in CAD, I can sketch in seconds. The fact that AI can’t beat this (yet) shows how powerful

Exo-Ranger custom linear actuator first update ⚙. Well I don’t see many linear actuators in the market that I could get my hands on that also have the specs and size I need. Teslas approach with the inverted roller screw is what inspired this idea to get my hands dirty and make

Working with @5P47K to design an awesome website for my EXO-ranger project. The goal is to have somewhere to direct people to explore more about the idea, a bit of the backstory and myself, features, suit up, specs, etc! So far is looking just like I pictured it, but it will get
@5P47K and I are working on what I think will be an INCREDIBLE website for the EXO-ranger project! . It will be inspired by many of the things that also inspire this project in the first place!. It will cover everything about the project, the technical projections, back story,

Mechanical design, hand sketches, CAD, troubleshooting manufacturing and screw things in place are just a few of the things I did on this pretty fun project. 🫡🫡🫡.
TLDR: we built an EV in 4 days! with our own mechanical design, electronics, and machining. an absolute pleasure to work with this crew. one of the best team dynamics/working experiences to date

A portable electronics lab for @arduino uno boards! Now you can prototype and create wherever you go! This was my first idea during a @socraticainfo session last term. The ideas have only gotten crazier since then. 🚀 #Arduino #Makers #Electronic #DIY

4-wheel independent steering vehicle update!. Steering linkages, wheels, bumper and electronics safely secured to the 3D printed ABS chassis! But a few things to improve as well, like suspension and chassis. Still need to figure out motors. @bagelfund .@socraticainfo

Some of the behind the scenes of this. Took us like an hour to set up everything in my room, so improvised we didn’t even have c stands, but who cares lol. We were saying “WOOOW” every 5 minutes

With no proper tools I did my first automotive sculpting in this type of clay, all I used was the clay and a box cutter blade. I’m pretty happy with how my design sketches turned out for being pretty new at this. #steerx

@jasroopdhingra @aridutilh @bagelfund There are a few unique driving modes like crab steering, zero turn, and 4 wheel steering besides normal steering too of course, that are only possible with independent wheel steering. Each of these have upsides and downsides.

@Xaraphim I’m relatively new to the startup and funding space since I usually focus more on the projects themselves rather than turning them into a company. I also feel the same way—when I hear words like “founder,” it’s not something I necessarily aspire to be called in the future.

@jasroopdhingra @aridutilh @bagelfund One of the current benefits is avoiding obstacles at high speed because the car won’t tilt. Increased maneuverability in cornering is one of the goas for me with this project too but does require a lot of R&D.

@R3PL1C8R Saw this design recently, pretty interesting and also considering to have both legs go around like in the video. However one or two degrees of freedom would be lost, unless I design a custom joint for the upper leg, something around “offset partial rotation coaxial hinge” for the.

@Xaraphim @83dollaroring Balance between aesthetics and functionality are key to me as well, many times you only see one of them on its own and that is kind of frustrating.

@zachdive How would this handle multi-part assemblies with various joint types? Wouldn’t the amount of detailed text required to set up parameters end up being as time-consuming as manually modeling it?.

One of my goals in this summer is to learn more about #arduino, although I have use it multiple times in the past, I feel I want to be able to create more advance/original projects, that why I want to have a deeper understanding of it. Side note: taking hand notes is underrated.

@atthatmatt Oh gotcha! Yeah it will look something like that. Definitely will improve over time once I have a tangible prototype and can mess around with it . My goal for now is to show it can increase at least 50% more force of main muscle groups using basic exercises as comparison.

@anushka_twt @_buildspace @_nightsweekends This is a pretty interesting idea to me. I recently got a pocket size notebook where is take notes and hand sketch ideas during the day but the thing I lack of is journaling in it. Would this app let you do a voice to text conversion to save time? I feel that would be useful!.

@tactiZity_ @arduino @socraticainfo @adafruit @hackaday @instructables Thank you! The concept surged when I started getting more serious about learning Arduino, I know the basics but I always felt like something was missing on all the electronic kits I saw online. So I took a lot of notes and then developed this idea!.
