i now return to waterloo for a school term. i’m making it another 4 months of intellect, whimsy, intensity, and wholesomeness. if you’re around and want to be part of it, hmu!

and wholesome it was too! snow walks to the waterfront, a live reading on what keeps you up at night, music jams turned 3am convos, tears and hugs in a hotel room, and many board games nights. friends reading this, know i deeply cherish the memories we made. see you again soon.

i worked harder than ever. somehow pulled of long days building product at a venture studio only to come home and plan @socraticainfo’s symposium for 2500 people until i went zzz. tried many new things. unlocked a flow state. best of all, raised my bar for what great looks like.

there was lots of silly too. @bobawithbonnie and i bought sidewalk chalk and rallied friends in a park to fill it w drawings. people kept asking what cause we were doing it for & were surprised it was just for fun. also rabbitholed, doodled, puzzled and made mango pudding :D

started with the viaduct lectures by @_benjaminparry. learned that the og "toronto" is lake simcoe from @mattyj612 and @michellejiamade made my new career aspiration becoming knight-monk. i’ve made a lot more space for intentional thinking since.

thank you Toronto for saving me from seasonal depression this winter. life here was so full. equal parts intellectual, whimsical, intense and wholesome. a rare combo. i’m leaving with a new sense of self, focus, and a fire-in-my-belly. what a city.

while i enjoy making music, my favourite parts are in the improvisation, lyrics and arranging. i always run into the cinder block that is producing, try to learn and do it all in one go, and then give up. i want to get better at drawing on the people around me who can help!

mini updates on 1 week of micro-projects i finished writing and arranging a chorus last night! It was too late to record vocals, so going to do that and share soon. despite the time constraints, i was doing too much at first. but @rishiosaur reminded me that simple is beautiful

i’ve been feeling unfocused recently, so i’m using this week to explore. one micro-project each day of the week. i’ll be documenting what feels easy and what feels hard. learning more about myself and what feels like the path of least resistance.
