BREAKING: In statement, President Biden says he is “angry and concerned” with Rittenhouse verdict, urges peaceful protests.
Unreal ... and not acceptable the system we are supposed to abide by found the defendent not guilty .... not the statement of a unifier
Do not insult the few viewers you have left. The fact is increased gas prices, inflation and supply chain issues have been a problem for a long while in America. Do not shill for this administration or any other. Your job is to report the news honestly. Embarrassing ....
I know this sounds basic, but if you have money sitting in checking take the time to buy a 30 day Tbill .... why let the bank use your money ? .. it adds up im always shocked when I talk to people about this ..... make your money work
I've said it before but you never know the burden someone else may be carrying. Think thrice before you are unkind to someone. Be patient even when you are tempted no to be. Be kind to others. I'm absolutely gutted this morning.
important to be fluid in thought ... not be too rooted in what you might think .......trees that bend survive the storm.....trees that don't ........break
I was just asked this by an extremely talented trader that I admire greatly ...
have u seen such market ?
answer: NO not quite like this ... and i saw 73-74, the 87, crash .com bust,
08 09, covid, .........
but not quite this ....
I saw a new cardiologist last week. My prognosis is excellent as I have zero heart disease and good lipid profile. If the aneurysm continued to grow ( and it might not ) I would need a corrective procedure in about 10 years give or take.
I've been trading a long time. I've seen the most horrendous down days. I've NEVER seen what I'm seeing today with the action being driven by the pure machinations of the mrkt ... I don't believe this to be positive .. I believe it is corrosive ... we'll see

Two young men who are going places. They’ve helped remind me what’s fun about being a Yankee fan and for that I will be forever grateful. ❤️❤️❤️ now LFG
@Yankees
I’m reading a systemic event would allow the fed to unwind high rates and presage a new bull market. This might happen if inflation was in check. It is not. A fed easing for a financial emergency would blow the lid off inflation, death for paper assets.
Sound the all clear !!!!

Dennis Gartman, editor and publisher of The Gartman Letter, warns the market sell-off may be the start of a "substantive bear market" and investors need to be cautious.

POWELL SAYS RAPID CHANGES IN GLOBAL MONETARY SYSTEM MAY AFFECT FUTURE INTERNATIONAL ROLE OF U.S. DOLLAR
simply stunning ... he says this NOW ??? credit mrkts are already beginning to seize
I don't know
@Ultra_Calls
well but I can tell you a good trader can make money on his ideas. I don't rely on anyone else for entries or exits that's on me. I care about ideas and he provides them daily, freely. Every trader needs to own his or her trade. Period, end of.
To think about this properly, remember, this isn't some correction due to a poor economy or bad earnings for the most part .. this is a REVALUATION because of a change in fed policy ... earnings will be valued differently ... those without earnings are being treated most harshly
I've never seen the kind volatility we currently have lead to anything positive. When financial markets become this volatile, something breaks. We're on the edge of a full fledged panic. Wouldn't be so bad but credible leadership is missing fiscally and monetarily. no good
@YankeeMandela
@JLasagna43
Sonny Gray would be the the first one to admit he couldn't pitch in NY ...

Joey Gallo is Joey Gallo .... reversion inevetabler unless he's using .....

Capitalism isn't bad. People are bad. People are greedy. If people treated each other with some humanity and caring, capitalism would work just fine. There are a lot of good people who do the right thing, just not enough of them.
@saxena_puru
You have been singled out for expressing your opinion about bitcoin. You did not worship at its Altar. You dared to raise heretical thoughts about its inevitability. Would this have happened if its owners were so secure ? Carry on.
Whatever you think about
@MrZackMorris
the call on $CEI from sub .50 is amazing .... if your head is on right you admire such acumen ... the other is isn't worth addresing .. so major kudos for an amazing call ... he put himself on the line real time... supoer job
The path to longevity as a trader is finding trades with the least risk that will give you a return. It is as simple as that. This is lost in the dazzle of the huge kill which usually carries a commensurate risk. Longevity.
Normally I am loathe to share personal issues but I this case it might help someone else. On November 10th I was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm. It is not at the point that would correction and it will be revisited in 6 months. I fortunate to have discovered it...
Will be gone today for a funeral and this one is going to hurt. One thing I've learned, the grief we feel with loss is proportional to the depth of our love. So when we experience a loss that hurts deeply it is because the love was deep. Today is such a day for me.
This is a lie. Think about on whose behalf they are lying. This is not only a lie, it is the exact opposite of the truth. Inflation hurts the least advantaged among us. The wealthy can find ways to hedge against inflation. The elderly and working poor cannot.
@unusual_whales
I would be less skeptical if stocks responded to news rationally. They do not. This is more true now than at any point in my career as a trader, a long time indeed. I’ll let you know when a machine can out-trade me but don’t hold your breath.
@unusual_whales
$CS has been failing for over a decade with various scandals along the way....... yes, it's all social media's fault.....now you know why they failed....
Thanks. I've been trading my whole life. I'm 63. Have traded live in front of rooms many times. I've never taken a penny from the people I've mentored and never will. Not knocking it but this is one way of giving back. Even in doing that I've receive more than I give.
@Sandman7591
If you decide you'd like to very quickly and easily monetize your following while adding to another level of transparency... Check out the Trade Rooms campaign we just launched
We rallied from $SPY 362 to 432 on the same premise until the core inflation number wrecked the market. I don’t think most realize tackling inflation takes not days, weeks or months, but years … that’s the reality and that’s if the fed gets it right.
Tonight is a good example of the unpredictability of war. That the Russians would fire on a nuclear facility informs us greatly. Hopefully there are some sane people around Putin to stop him. If not, we are all in deep trouble. Simple as that.
Powell
breathtaking today ..........
he looks clownish having to say what the world has known for months ..... and the real bottom line is a loss of confidence because the fed has dissembled for so long
@RedCoatChicago
@saxena_puru
We were pitched on a shut down to FLATTEN THE CURVE to prevent hospital overload not eliminate the disease. That has happened. We should protect the elderly and compromised and conduct ourselves to avoid the virus. Masks, gloves distancing ...fine.. but we can't stay closed
@charliebilello
So to be clear prices are rising at a slower pace but the damage has been done for working Americans, hasn't it ? People can't afford existing rents, insurance on homes and cars. I'm not sure what type of victory this is when a lot of people can't make ends meet .
So it turns out that Bill Gates, who has been telling us how to live our lives, needs to learn how to live his own life .... it is often so in life ...

For anyone out there struggling, it's ok to step aside until the mrkt stabilizes and makes a tradable bottom. What you must avoid at all costs is dissipating your capital. This is paramount. When the dust clears there will be opportunities.
Worst case scenario playing out. Baltic states Moldova in play .... Sanctions won't bite any time soon. Russia can turn the tap off on Western EU any time .. he will use that club ..... We are all at risk .. the world is at risk ...
Why are $WMT and $TGT such large surprises to Wall Street ? Perhaps there aren’t enough current players who remember just how destructive inflation can be. I can promise you this isn’t a problem confined to retail.
It strikes me, on the sad event of her passing, that Ms. Betty White was a unifying personality. This country has so few figures like that anymore. But the reaction to her passing seems to be universal.. a nice testament to her life .
Any discussion of addressing gun violence is worthless without a comprehensive approach to mental health in this country. An honest evaluation of the harm done to children by the covid response would help. That's just one element of the issue though.
Markets getting rocked tonight on reports fed will taper faster. Odd time to float this when Mrkts are so thin. Interesting to see if we open this way. Things can change rapidly but the signs have been there. Real rate of interest is rising.
Mental toughness required always but more so now .... newer traders need not trade, and for those who think you've got it figured out, ANYTHING can happen, what looks cheap can become cheaper, or JPowell could change course suddnley.. assume nothing.. trade what you see
At least 14000 people have died and 250,000 have already been hospitalized during the 2019-2020 flu season, according to estimates from the U.S. CDC. More than 26 million Americans have fallen ill with flu-like symptoms
How did we alter our lives to avert this disaster ?
the moment you blame someone else for what you've done, in trading or life for that matter, you are LOST ..........
@Ultra_Calls
provides a steady flow of great ideas... it's not his job to push buttons for others.. that's on them period, end of
@saxena_puru
Bitcoin always had 2 weaknesses
1. Government intervention
2. Competition .......
Bitcoin is thought of and priced like it has a monopoly on the concept of what it is ............ That this is not true is fast becoming obvious
@saxena_puru
Maybe. Once up a time, in another life, I used to assess risk for S&P. I was paid to game worst case scenarios. 30% chance the fed has lost control of the situation. Not probable, but way too possible for my taste. Will continue to trade opportunistically but cash be 4.
People who have power do not surrender it. Bitcoin is an indictment of the dollar’s stewardship. It is an existential threat to the corrupt, entrenched bureaucracy which runs this country. Thus, it is now under attack. Those plans leaked out last weekend. Game on.
Giving thanks for the freedom we still enjoy and the men and women who spilled their blood and who stand watch to make that freedom possible. Do not take it for granted. What was obtained by that sacrifice can be easily lost.
Investment advice from anyone at this point is meaningless. I’ve not seen anything like I’m seeing right now. Biggest problem is the absolute lack of liquidity. HFTs won’t be providing either side of any market. So anything goes. Fear won’t help you. Common sense will.
To me, QT has always been the real issue. Instituted because various financial markets seized up. I think the withdrawal of this liquidity will be far more difficult than raising rates.
I've been trying to ponder the consequences of a real food shortage in this country. I'm thinking if people are so uncivil and intolerant over political differences, what will they do to each other over a lack of food ?
Markets realizing the fed is in a box. No road back to financial sanity will be painless. Expect more can kicking and easy ways out. It’s all they know to do. We’re unhappy because we’re overweight but we keep overeating because we’re unhappy about it. Losing weight…
So I started the day with a large hole. First step. When that happens my mind set is to just try to make the day a little better. No revenge trades to get it all back at once. That and some nice ideas from a few folks... turned the day... we always stay cool, we never give up
@Mayhem4Markets
I could be wrong, but I think this gets worse ... I'm ready for anything but those days in 2008 occurred 5 months before the low of that bear move .... i've never seen the kind of volatility we've had for a while now end well .. i don 't think this is different
The market has been in distribution for several months. The only question is the serverity of the pull back. If it's 5 or 10% no big deal but the the gestation of this event suggests something deeper. As a day trader it really doesn't affect me but I like to ponder such things
im off early today . all is well just going to smell some roses ... i don't do it often .... but lots of great trading ops today ..everyone have a great Thanksgiving .. Ironically, I have an extra lot to be thankful for this year... esp. for some very special people here ...
This iteration of Covid virus is such a depature it will inevitably spur speculation that it was not a "natural" evolution. Viruses mutate but this is being described as a quantum leap. Much to learn but it has become dominant at a much faster rate than the previous variants.
This is a DISGRACE, an idiot could have determined this given the infintessimal risk for healthy kids and teens AND the known risk to younger people from the vaccine itself particularly for young males. WHO puts this out now and thinks it's ok ? It's not. Ignore WHO
I guess I’m in a small minority but the reaction to this Twitter issue seems a bit extreme. I’m thankful for the blessings in my life and while I have issues like everyone else a Twitter snafu would be near the bottom of my list of worries. We still do have real lives, yes ?…
Prediction. You will hear this statement numerous times. The failure of $FRC will not cost US taxpayers anything. This will be as untrue as the previous statements about the failures in March. It’s time for accountability. There are no adults running the show. Worse,…
just to remind ........
in Aug. 2022 $HKD ran from $12 to $2555 in FOUR days ...........
please don't be too surprised by what happened with $TOP today .. anything can happen and has happened ...
$TWTR looks like board is caving ......... none of them have any financial interesting in the co. to speak of and
@Jack
seem to want it sold .... Elon just has to walk through the door...... if this happens look for mass resignations at $TWTR
Went over this at length on the box yesterday, and I'll say it here, it's not the time to be financially aggressive with personal finances right now. I'm not talking solely about the mrkt but overall financial exposure. Time to be conservative in all assumptions financial ....
Checking out early today ... wishing you all a wonderful New Year weekend .... I'm most appreciative for the privelege of getting to know a few of you .... i'm blessed ...
