Well said @jbaphna! Unnecessary built structures erected on destroyed natural landscape do NOT become eco-friendly just because some obscure 'natural materials' are used in construction! And as @gurudasn explains, materials are not natural in any case! @PuneRivers @CitizensPune

In 2020, the State of India's birds report was a first of it's kind national level assessment of birds in our country: https://t.co/xpqSpb6nGU. Three years later, v2 is based on more data with a broader scope and with a lot more collaboration! Join us for the launch on 25 Aug!

Potholes are No problem. Money is No problem. Rain No problem. Nor is Concrete availability, Or Technology availability. Political & Bureaucratic Will is. 30 crores is spent / day by PMC. 10,000 crore / year. Result: We don’t have a single neighbourhood without bad roads.

The dense forests of the north-east are mostly unclassified, which means that they will lose all protection if the FCA2023 is passed, speeding up large scale deforestation and biodiversity loss #SaveIndianForests #ScrapForestConservationAmendmentBill2023 @pmoindia @moefcc

Pune has been blessed with hills and urban forests which are valuable carbon sinks, groundwater recharge zones and community reserves important for our physical and mental health. Sadly, we just don't know how to value them 😔
