नाव नदी पुनरुज्जीवन, दावा नदीकाठ सुशोभीकरण, प्रत्यक्षात दोन्ही नाही! नदीकाठी कृत्रिम हिरवळ, जॉगिंग ट्रॅक, बाकडी, की निरोगी आणि जैवविविध स्वच्छ वनश्री? उत्तर सोपे, पण प्रश्न चुकला! योग्य प्रश्न - विकसकांना देण्यासाठी नवी जमीन कशी तयार करता येईल? महापालिकांचे प्रकल्प यासाठी आहेत.
मुळेकाठी नुसती झाडे नसून वनराई आहे व त्यात पक्ष्यांच्या शंभराहून जास्त प्रजाती आहेत. तसेच इंडियन फ्लॅपशेल कासव, नदी सुरय (रिव्हर टर्न) सारख्या अनुसूची-१ (दुर्मीळ) प्रजाती सुद्धा इथे आहेत. @PuneRivers @ChaloPmc @PKarve_Samuchit @pcmccomm @Dev_Fadnavis

उत्���राखंडमधील दुर्घटनेवर लेख १३ ऑगस्टला लोकमतमध्ये आला आणि १४ ऑगस्टला आणखी एक दुर्घटना हिमाचल प्रदेशात झाली. अजून पावसाचा किमान १.५ महिना बाकी आहे. दरम्यान पुणे-पिंपरी-चिंचवड परिसरातल्या नद्यांच्या नैसर्गिक प्रवाहाची व परिसंस्थेची मोडतोड करण्याचे प्रकल्प वेगाने पुढे सरकत आहेत.

Unfortunately our political leaders and their devoted followers still have a 1950s notion of 'development' - love for ugly concrete structures. And there is an additional lure of 'riverside' real estate. No aesthetic sense + greed of politicians = disaster for Punekars.
We are told that the Pune RFD is done for “river access.” Why destroy riparian forests? Ecofriendly trails can offer access without concrete or tree loss. It would be far more serene & healing. @PuneRivers @ChaloPmc @PKarve_Samuchit @pcmccomm @CMOMaharashtra
