Pr. Dr. Javed Akram @jakramaimc is teacher of teachers. He was widely respected in medical community. As a physician, we work with those who are in pain and side with oppressed. Today, he lost the sight of things to save a ministry that would last three months. What a fall

Here is what ECFMG charges for USMLEs from IMGs. I have made a comparison table of fee in USD. This is a perfect example of profiteering. And definitely IMGs are far more rich so they afford this. Please say after me - ECFMG is not friend of IMGs. #ECFMGIsNotFriendofIMGs

Posting any part of candidate's ERAS Application is violation of confidentiality agreement, even if you hide identifiers. I also want to call out discrimination between IMGs VS AMGs based on USMLE Step 3 I can think of only few reasons when USMLE Step 3 should be needed.

Hoping to initiate a program where we can enroll about 30-40 IMGs who have deficiencies on their resume. But with proper guidance, they can potentially match. It will not be for every candidate. It will be free of cost for candidates.

Programs without IMG residents should not call them diverse. Having IMGs among residents add a lot more value to the program and resident education/exposure. Hiring a 2nd generation immigrant is not same as hiring 1st generation immigrant. Asking for equity, not equality.

On July 1st, 2022, there were 28 incoming Pakistan PGY-I residents in administrative processing. Today, we have only two. Thank you for @APPNA leadership and volunteers for the constant support. It was a rough ride but efforts will continue. Thats it. Thats the tweet.
