Hey @paulbristow79 — before the Bill dropped, you said you’d scrap the Mill Road Bridge TRO by declaring it a Key Route. But now? ❌ You can’t do that unilaterally ✅ Only the SoS can designate KRN (Sch 8(1)) ✅ Local highway authorities must be consulted (Sch 8(4))

This is Canary Wharf, before and after development. First derelict and unproductive. Then transformed into a bustling centre of commerce. There were those who campaigned against redevelopment. Against growth. In favour of decline. Thankfully they were ignored.

🌡️Opponents of air-conditioning see it as an energy-intensive luxury. But we know that this is not the case. By denying ourselves relief from the heat, Europe stunts our own health and productivity. The mindset of energy poverty is literally killing us!

‘Unless authorities begin to treat the need for cooling as seriously as the need for heating, and fulfil their duty to protect the most vulnerable, inequalities will widen as high-income households fork out for their own protection and leave the rest sweating.’

It’s outrageous that the Mayor is still suggesting he can find the cash to subsidise free car parking and yet there’s no cash for tiger pass. Icing on the cake is that he hasn’t even done any analysis of the effects.

I find it fascinating the friends of mill Road people, Wesson, @FewsLane, @paulbristow79 and all the other pro pollution lobby get so pedantic about legal language. Yet their own lot openly mock court with posts like this.

Yesterday the High Court heard from both sides in the Mill Road Bridge TRO legal challenge. Some supporters of a low-traffic Mill Road were observing in court, and this summary is based on the notes made by one of them..

. @paulbristow79 yesterday MILL ROAD LIVES Facebook page run by Paul Weaver was viciously attacking an independent local business and even accused the owners of pushing children into the road. It’s outrageous, you continually engage and support this page. Can you please comment?

Back last year when I asserted to @SteveCount that the Tory’s would not retake CCC he told me to come back in May. Here I am. Shame that you lost your seat for sure, but you should be celebrating as Mayor.

The wider issue here is that universities are unbelievably naive about how technology is destroying their traditional teaching & assessment model. It’s like you run a coaching inn & the railways arrive & you decide I know, LET’S BUILD MORE STABLES.

People have had enough of Elon Musk interfering with our country’s democracy when he clearly knows nothing about Britain. It’s time to summon the US ambassador to ask why an incoming US official is suggesting the UK government should be overthrown.

It's a tough trading environment on the UK high street. Investment in a low traffic Mill Road will further protect local businesses by making it a place to go to, not drive through @neil4labour1 @richardhowitt @mikelode1 @CambsCC @GreaterCambs https://t.co/B3RJWZkrDB
