We all need healthy food, clean water and healthy soil. Nobody needs artificial grass. Humans and animals deserve compassion and to be treated well.

Artificial turf fields are disposable plastic. They wear out & become due for replacement every 8-10 years. That waste is toxic pollution. And we’re generating literal mountains of it. https://t.co/otT571il9s

Dear Emma Reynolds, as you are the new Environment Secretary we would like to introduce ourselves. We campaign for new laws which, among other things, protect the environment from pollution, and safeguard livestock and wildlife from excessively loud firework explosions which

This article mentions hedgehog highways, swift bricks and window glass that's treated to prevent birds flying into it. It's vitally important everything is done that will help wildlife. Please sign to ban plastic grass lawns. https://t.co/2oB6TWprQy

How can anyone think that a poisoned hedgerow looks better? This is a perfect example of why it's long over time to stop selling poison to any and everyone ☠️

Be quick! Only a few spaces left on Circular Road to roll up and dump your caravan! Don't worry about your waste, that's what the bushes are for, right? The rest of your rubbish, the locals can pay for that. Well, that's certainly what @BristolCouncil

Long overdue. #BanPeatSales
Today, marks 3 years since the UK Govt promised a ban on peat sales for gardening. Legislation has yet to be passed. In this 3 years, 859,660m3 of peat was dug for horticulture. Enough to fill 7,641 double decker buses. https://t.co/hNoxYtFW5Z 📸 Andrew Kirby & Alan Ashman

What ...?!?!? What a Nature-ignorant Govt we have. Embarrassing. And hugely damaging.
BOTTOM TRAWLING IN MARINE PROTECTED AREAS TO CONTINUE Government has announced that efforts to ban this super destructive method of fishing are "disproportionate." Labour's #WarOnNature continues.

This poor baby is Solomon, and more than 70% of his little body is covered in painful infected scabs. The reason mange has taken such a toll on him is because he's severely malnourished. Although it's true if it wasn't for the finder providing nightly food he'd likely be dead of

🚨GOOD NEWS for peat @GOVUK has extended the ban on burning on peat in England. A huge step forward, with the area of deep peat safeguarded from burning set to more than double. 💚 Thank you to everyone who helped push for this change, your support made it possible! (1/2)

@BanPlasticTurf The fields are hot and more expensive than natural sod grass - and impermeable so that when it does rain all the chemicals wash off into the environment - and a steady dose of microplastics

@SDoxat @NoFarmsNoFoods Feedlots in general are a bad thing. Regenerative agriculture is the future. It increases soil carbon uptake and storage. The methane emissions from ruminants are mainly from eructation (burps), not from farts or faeces. Methane is also released from rotting, ungrazed grasses.

Bottom trawling = one of the most destructive fishing methods in our seas. It drags heavy nets across the ocean floor 🌊🐟 The @GOVUK is consulting on a ban in 41 offshore Marine Protected Areas in England. Tell Minister Hardy you support the ban 👉 https://t.co/sUMysSOoDu

A new firework petition has been created by Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Their spokesperson said: “There is compelling evidence that the ability of owners to keep their horses safe is limited when fireworks are set off nearby, even with advance notice. The data shows stabled horses

It’s bad for the fishing industry too in the medium to long term; studies have found that protecting some areas from trawling increases the size and amount of target fish as they have a place to safely breed, feed & grow

The EU is banning bottom trawling in marine protected areas. We’ve banned it in some of our overseas territories. But in our own so-called “marine protected areas”, the government will allow the seabed to be repeatedly bulldozed
