By the way, grooming gang leaders were allowed to stay in the UK when it was decided that deporting them would breach their human rights.
It's worth remembering that when cases came to the attention of the authorities, they leapt into action. They buried them in case investigating inflamed 'racial tensions'. Maintaining the lie that everything was fine was more important than children's safety.

When people ask how young men were radicalised, it's worth considering the idea that they weren't and we're just not good at recognising liberal pathologies. If an object appears to be moving away from you, it could be stationary while you're in motion. Chart ages 18-29 via @FT

After all the sacrifices of lockdown, the Conservative party believes the way to repay Britain’s young people is to ramp up taxes, enlist them into mandatory service in care homes, and use their hard-earned income to fund a "quadruple lock" for pensioners. The one common thread.

It's hard to overstate the extent to which the state has fought attempts to release information on this issue. It's much more convenient to keep the public in the dark.
Exclusive: Labour has rejected Oldham Council's request for a government inquiry into grooming gangs. GB News has seen a letter from Safeguarding Minister Jess Phillips urging the council to organise their own inquiry.

Rotten beyond repair, and never fully reckoned with. In the end, it was decided that there were only 14 cases of police misconduct to answer for. No officers were sacked. The most severe sanction was a written warning.
Police had gone around to the house, they found this 13-year-old girl with another young girl, she was almost completely naked, she was blind drunk, and she was with 7 adult Pakistani men, she was drunk and leery. Police arrested the 13yo girl for being drunk and disorderly.

What I want to emphasise about this is that turning a blind eye to grooming gangs was just one example of how Britain's “multicultural success story” actually works: the state and its allies repeatedly lying to the public to maintain the idea that all is well. It happens when we.

As I've said before, living in a high trust society is fantastic. Europe can have nice galleries which are minimally intrusive because we trust people to treat them with respect, and that trust is repaid. Protesters who violate that trust need to be punished severely. Every time.

Migrants absolutely drain money from the public purse. From 1995-2011, non-EU migrants cost the UK £118 billion net - about 17 per cent of the deficit over that period. The British state offers vast subsidies to the low skilled of the world. We pay for it. It's got to change.
Migrants don’t drain billions from the public purse — tax dodgers do. They don’t drive down wages or exploit workers — greedy bosses do. And they don’t starve schools or hospitals of funding — political choices do. Labour won’t defeat the far-right by parroting their myths.

It's a genuine privilege to live in a country where people are trusted to behave decently. Politicians walk around without US level security, art galleries allow people right up to paintings, cricket matches assume spectators have goodwill. Stunts like this are deeply costly.

The British social contract is one where you pay taxes so the government can outbid you for housing in its quest to move people from around the world here to live on welfare.

@hurryupharry The word jihad has a number of meanings but we know the public will most commonly associate it with terrorism. We have specialist counter terrorism officers here in the operations room who have particular knowledge in this area. They have assessed this video, filmed at the Hizb.

Living in unsafe, crime-ridden cities is a choice. It's one that's being made for you by politicians, safely insulated from the conditions they create, who believe your safety takes second place to the second chances of violent criminals. A staggeringly large proportion of all.

When school shootings happen in America, Europeans talk about the insanity of a country that accepts this as a consequence of gun ownership. When children are murdered in Europe by extremists we gave shelter, we go silent. Just one of those things. Nothing to be done about it.
This is the result of policy choices. Remember that, every time it happens. Europe doesn't have to keep repeating mistakes over and over.

The great immigration myth is that we need to import a million people a year or the economy falls apart. Of the 955,000 visas issued last year, just 210,000 were for main work applicants, many of whom are temporary or unskilled workers . A brief thread:.
1.2 million people came to the UK in 2023. About 30,000 were doctors or nurses. However you cut it, the NHS is not a major driver of immigration and wouldn't be particularly affected even by very harsh caps.

Britain has de facto blasphemy laws because it's the easiest way to suppress "community tensions". Having imported groups that don't sign up to liberal tenets, it finds it easier to police everyone else's behaviour than to assimilate them. This is why the rules only go one way.

If you earn £60,000 in London, you pay £17,000 in direct taxes, another £4,300 in indirect taxes, and your rent. Even living further out, you have a lower standard of living than a socially housed family of benefits claimants. And if they get PIP, you'll drive a worse car too.
A friend of mine earning six figures just commented that they have never owned a new car and between mortgage and childcare they don't expect to any time soon. Perhaps they should start claiming benefits?

I don't think people realise quite how bad the UK fiscal picture is. Spending is set to cross 60% of GDP, compared to 53% during furlough. That's not realistic, and young, high income workers are likely to bear the brunt of the correction. Offer them a way out and they'll go.
The USA realising it can brain drain the top 10 per cent of Brits dirt cheap with no assimilation issues would be an actual catastrophe for the UK. Instant fiscal crisis - this group provides 60% of the income tax take - and loads would go.

There's a nasty little trend in which police forces start attempting to police behaviour that is totally legal because it looks a bit like behaviour that isn't; driving under the limit, saying mean things online under that limit, etc.
