As a former Store Manager with @coopuk I was assaulted by a shoplifter. It is something no one should have to experience in their workplace. It is so important to ensure that all shopworkers across the UK have the same protections in place and that these laws are then upheld.
Today, @CoopUK is encouraging all of its 57,000 colleagues and five million member-owners to write to their MP and back making assaulting a shopworker a standalone offence. #ICYMI: Watch Paul Gerrard from @CoopUK explain the difference a similar law has made in Scotland.
