So, 50 years old now. I am down a point of Str and Dex from my younger days, but I'm a more capable engineer than ever. I'm noticing more people in their 70s that seem sharp and spry, so I'm looking forward to at least a couple more decades of relevance.

I find it hard to comprehend that it's only 75 years - less than an average lifetime - that WW2 ended on VJ Day. Today we should thank the armed forces and political leaders who brought to an end 6 years of absolute misery and tragedy. And those who kept the homefires burning.

One of the few positive effects of these scary times is the increased interest in skateboarding. It’s been uplifting to see so many learning to skate in their “downtime.” I believe they’re in pursuit of the same feeling this Ukrainian girl got when she landed her first kickflip.

Ultimately, ownership of digital items should be a universal notion, independent of stores and platforms. So much of the digital world today is frustrated by powerful intermediaries whose toll booths obstruct open commerce to keep customers and their purchases locked in.
