Instead of centralizing energy, use EV batteries to power homes during peak. Do it for rural (then lower need to ‘upgrade’ when the storms come). Partner with China & US for scale & finance / roll out But stop overcentralisation of energy as it’s costly & crippling.

Other countries mayors act on behalf of communities. Ireland has mayors that are utterly clueless on their districts and won’t say boo to a goose as scared of LA’s & Departments. ‘Governance gone wrong.’ Not a single token muni mayor asks communities for their priorities.

Welcome move @JamesBrowneTD for rural in particular. Now makes much of OPR/ county housing plans / planners saying ‘can’t get planning / can’t supply due to lack of infrastructure’ which is just another LA / OPR excuse (as seen in Waterford CC ‘plan’ undermining Ministers target)
