Thanks for following and forwarding folks. Twitter has (mostly) been informative and edutaining. But it's also become the dominant platform for spreading misinformation and hate. Adios! BBC News - Musk hits back after PM criticises UK 'civil war' post https://t.co/E5mJoTTdBD

@elonmusk @Keir_Starmer I investigate social media at the BBC. I've repeatedly asked you for an interview. You accuse the media of not holding power to account. I want to ask you questions about your site and its role fanning the flames of UK riots. Will you speak to me?@elonmusk

They came after me with the cat lady shit too. So please just sit down & listen. Misogyny is one of the deadliest weapons on earth. Misogyny is electoral interference. Misogyny is a national security threat so lethal we can’t even see it. https://t.co/0Ll2tdji0t

If you’re a globally outstanding scientist the visa/health cost of moving to the uk is now 21x higher than 🇫🇷 and 34x higher than 🇩🇪. A very big disincentive to creating the productivity, jobs and growth that science in 🇬🇧 brings. We are allowing ourselves to be outcompeted

A survey of about 3,800 postdoctoral scholars conducted by Nature showed that 17 percent of postdocs use chatbots daily and ... 29 percent use them weekly for such tasks as “finding/summarizing the literature”

Lack of effective regulation around highly priced but ineffective interventions for people with cognitive issues is deeply troubling. Caring for patients with dementia should also mean protecting them from false, expensive hope. https://t.co/yfIKkApstc… @mgtmccartney @unherd
