Tonight, I’m thinking about Justice Murray Sinclair and of the times that I was lucky enough to hear him speak about his work with the TRC. This moment stands out for me. It’s his answer when he was asked, “Why can’t you just get over it?”

My piece on how IHRA definition is state-sanctioned anti-Palestinian racism IHRA is key legislative tool to suppress Palestinian liberation, institutionalize anti-Palestinian racism, suppress opposition to Zionism thru liberal "anti racism" strategy https://t.co/xfAWBVCbZl

An organised campaign attempting to ban @FranceskAlbs’s Nov 4 talk at @LawMcGill—my alma mater— is yet another example of how academic freedom is being threatened on Canadian campuses. It must be resisted in the strongest terms.

Since launching 24 hours ago this has risen to a total of 4,500 writers and publishing professionals pledging to boycott all complicit Israeli institutions. Names are coming in faster than we can process them.
BREAKING: Today, more than 1000 authors are launching a mass boycott of Israeli publishers who are complicit in the dispossession of the Palestinian people. This declaration amounts to the largest cultural boycott of Israeli institutions in history. https://t.co/SGewfi4DYn

I just can't get over how dumb this policy continues to be as we hear more about it. No money for healthcare, no money for better working conditions or wages but hundreds of millions to remove bike lanes that were installed by democratically elected city councils.
NEW: As the Ford government reviews the installation of all bike lanes on city streets over the past five years, the province is offering to pay for the costs of removing existing lanes. #onpoli

Doug Ford should stay in his lane and let municipal governments determine what to do with ours. If Ford wants to address congestion, then invest more in public transit. Ideas like Ford's are what lead to cyclists getting killed.

The Ontario government is considering bringing forward legislation that could prohibit the installation of bike lanes when lanes for motor vehicles are removed as a result, sources say.

There are people who have prattled endless about free speech on campuses for years who are now silent on this stuff.

Prison. Their solutions are cells. This is so utterly evil and devoid of humanity. And this is the NDP - so called “progressive”.
We want to help people get the care they need and help families be whole again while keeping communities safe. With compassion and evidence as our guide, we’re launching dignified, secure care for those with brain injuries, mental illness, and severe addiction.

I just demanded Doug Ford and Sylvia Jones reverse their decision to close supervised consumption sites. These services save lives and we are in the middle of an opioid crisis. They need to hear from us. Use @progresstoronto's petition:

Take action: Use our petition to tell Doug Ford and Sylvia Jones they are putting lives at risk and the Province must fund and allow the operation of all of the supervised consumption sites in...

“The call for Fred Hahn’s resignation represents a dangerous precedent for labour leaders who dare to take a principled position and speak out against power.” CUPE 3903's statement on this matter is forthcoming.
Labour for Palestine calls on the @cupenat National Executive Board to reverse its call for @CUPEOntario President Fred Hahn’s resignation and urges them, and others within the labour movement, not to cave to zionist pressure. #StandWithFredHahn
