Some reflections on a couple of sessions I attended at #Lab25 ➡️ There was a big uptick in health-related economic inactivity across Europe ➡️ A large rise in younger people with mental health problems ➡️ Inactivity fell to pre-pandemic levels across Europe but not in the UK ➡️

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is responsible for 25% of UK premature deaths. Up to 80% of these deaths are preventable. It’s estimated that the burden of CVD costs £29 billion each year. But CVD prevention is not currently being prioritised by government at the scale needed.
