Due to the evolving Covid 19 situation, and an abundance of caution on the part of our host institution, we are cancelling #RiM2020 in Toronto. We aim to "resuscitate" this meeting as soon as possible. Visit https://t.co/dTqm48OS7B for further updates.

Donate there & also learn how much Sistering are supporting women who are homeless & how they have become a de facto shelter cos the city doesn’t care enough about the lives of women in poverty to build shelters &deeply affordable housing. Thank you for the work you do, sistering
If you’re looking to donate items as one way to help #homeless women this season, we’re currently accepting lightly worn winter clothing, especially jackets and boots as well as new underwear and socks (preferably wool blend). #homelessness

More food for thought. Link in the thread 👇
I hope you listened to @KateMMulligan @metromorning today, talking about shift from “what’s the matter with you?” to “what matters to you?” IMHO this shift lays foundation to move our #healthcare system from historically paternalistic care to #patient inspired participatory care

I would love to see a shift in language away from that of “difficult patients”. Often folks who have experienced the most trauma in their lives have learned certain behaviours as a means of survival. Truly understanding this can go such a long way. #MedEd #MedTwitter

Big thanks to inspiring duo @LeighChappy & @MichelleKlaiman for talking to #CSRS grad students/health care providers about "Resus research & practice in a time of overdose". Destigmatizing and decriminalizing drugs and people who use them is vital. "Nothing about us without us."
