Most of the inmates present in this video have no conviction and the actions undertaken by prison staff are fully illegal. This is happening in Ontario — where all of @fordnation's "law and order" talk glosses over a justice system they've helped to break.

Ontario's lawyer said the Ford government isn't banning supervised consumption sites — they can simply move away from schools/daycares. The health minister's office tells me that's not true. She won't allow any sites to relocate. #onpoli #topoli https://t.co/0T0xfwGd6A

Do regular people understand what this means? Witnessed consumption isn't a harmless fix. Often ppl must make MULTIPLE TRIPS to the pharmacy in the SAME DAY — you can't travel, can't work, can't live far from the pharmacy. It ruins your life or you give up on safe supply.

Today, I launched an election campaign with members of the newly formed Ontario Coalition for the Rights of Homeless People (OCRHP). We demand that the next provincial government: 1. Commit to building the housing that Ontarians both need and that is their fundamental right.

While I certainly understand the importance of talking to US audiences about the negatives of tariffs, the major media outlets that cover Doug Ford daily - whose audiences make up the voters in the province he governs - have been repeatedly refused interviews for years. #onpoli

All these hot takes by conservatives who suddenly have an interest in the illicit fentanyl trade while they spent the last 5 years going after safe supply and compassion clubs! FYI we were trying to help people move away from their reliance on the illicit market!!! SMH

Just going to continue emphasizing that this, detaining a bunch of people who haven’t been convicted of a crime and incarcerating them en masse in a fortified location against their will because they are part of a specific ethnicity or other group, is a concentration camp

For the last two weeks there have been private investigators trolling around supervised consumption sites in Toronto trying to gather info against them. Going in to businesses, reportedly taking photos. Rumoured to have been hired by a law firm hired by the Conservative party.

I have reversed dozens of overdoses on the front-line and been in casual contact with fentanyl many times. Police have the same overdose response training I do, which means that they should know that merely touching fentanyl won't result in an OD.
