It's hard for government to believe that we would be advocates without any money. TOPS has existed since 2017, we have never taken government money and we aren't a registered NGO/Charity. Grassroots groups are filled with people who fight for their communities.
Doug Ford threatened to audit "left-wing radical groups" that challenge his government. When audits become tools against critics instead of checks on power, we're entering dangerous and Trump-style territory. #onpoli

Similar situation in downtown Toronto: a group formed for the express purpose of opposing a new shelter in the Niagara neighbourhood has been ordered to pay nearly $30,000 after litigating against the shelter provider.
Fun legal case for the NIMBY haters. In Northcrest Neighbours v. City of Peterborough a group of neighbours tried to stop a 52 unit supportive housing project. They created a corporation with no assets and no income because they knew that unlike the Ontario Land Tribunal, a

It is extremely disturbing what this worker was involved in and that she did not report to management when she received the first initial texts from Hudson. A life could have been saved that day if she had never gotten involved and let authorities know of the threats. Disturbing

Palestinians and their allies are literally being arrested simply for speaking abt Palestine while white supremacists are allowed to show and spew their hate in broad daylight w/ absolutely no consequences from police. Double standard is painfully clear. https://t.co/lTPcgl5z1F

An apparent white nationalist demonstration on a busy overpass near London, Ont.'s downtown on Sunday afternoon is concerning for witnesses and experts who track extremist behaviour.

Both Ottawa and Toronto say the traffic calming signs they received from the Ford gov't to replace banned speed cameras are too big to fit on the poles they currently have, meaning the province will have to pay for new poles and installation. https://t.co/vqAArTvmnD

Cities say the signs sent to replace speed cameras are too big. The transportation minister believes they should be able to 'figure out how to install a sign.'

It's rare for a police officer in Canada to be criminally charged for shooting someone, and then to plead guilty Andrew Davis shot Devon Fowlin in 2023 and pleaded guilty. He was sentenced on Friday: no jail time and one year of probation https://t.co/Etsa0JHLTS

Poverty is pushing disabled Canadians to kill themselves. Poverty is pushing disabled Canadians into MAiD track 2. It's not my disabilities that are causing my suffering, it is the legislated abject poverty forced upon me by my government that is denying me the right to life
So being poor shouldn’t deny you access to assisted dying. I get the concept. But what if being poor pushes you to ask for AD.

Seems like Tom Wolf has never actually done drugs because anyone who actually has been reliant on the illicit drug supply knows how it works would never make such stupid comments. He's a grifter and everyone has been saying this for years.
Someone sent me this post from Tom Wolf who I've blocked a while ago mainly because of the misinformation he spreads, and that he's never added any value to the conversation. (I'll weigh in this one time on his trash 🗑️ post) Go figure here is again spreading misinformation

Ford's Bill 60 is expected to pass on Monday. It will allow corporate landlords to evict tenants without compensation. 100 organizations argue it will add to the 80,000 homeless Ontarians by stripping away core tenant protections at a time of rising living costs. #ONpoli
