I have no doubt that they’ll have their act together by then, but note that we are scheduled to play at Stanford in a couple of years (2027).
As someone who stayed up late every weekend watching PAC10 football my whole life, it pains me to say Stanford may not win a game this year

Since 2017, Georgia is an INSANE 47-1 at home. The best home record in the country. The only loss during the stretch was in Double OT. You simply don’t beat the Dawgs in Athens.

Kentucky has added Kent State to the 2026 schedule. What does it mean? It seems to confirm that the SEC is sticking with an 8-game conference model for one more season. MORE HERE:

There will be much hand-wringing about permanent opponents, but I think that'll prove to be an overblown issue once it sinks in that you'll play everyone at least once every two years:.Year 1: 3 permanent + 6 rotating.Year 2: 3 permanent + the other 6 rotating.That's all 15.

It's the ideal model for a 16-team league. Over a 4-year period, you play every other school at least twice and visit every other school at least once. (Note that Georgia has still yet to play at Texas A&M, for example.).
According to previous modeling of 9-game conference schedules - a debate the league has held now for four years - each SEC school would play 3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating each season.
