🚨 2025 Preseason SEC Bulldawg Power Index 🚨. So I'm sure you've seen me put a few of these out. The difference with this one is, this is a metric I'm going to start using this year to measure a team's on field performance. This metric is opponent-adjusted so those with an easy

The NCAA has it set, in their by-laws, that you can fix games as long as its not a recruiting violation and keep those wins. I'm sure this won't set a negative precedent of any kind.
Bylaws 19.12.7 and 19.12.8 cover "departures" from those penalties, with 19.12.8 giving a list of additional penalties that may be used. But here's the kicker - the bylaws only list vacating wins "in which a student-athlete competed while ineligible." Not for any other reason.

My thoughts on this:. 1. This being the case the 2023 season’s postseason is forever tainted. 2. It took a B1G team outright cheating for the B1G to keep the SEC out of back-to-back National Championship Games.
The NCAA says there were sufficient grounds for a multiyear postseason ban. "However, the panel determined that a postseason ban would unfairly penalize student-athletes for the actions of coaches and staff who are no longer associated with the Michigan football program.".

Michigan fans ignore this whole thread if you want to keep you updated head in the sand.
NEW: From the NCAA's report on Michigan:. "… the true scope and scale of the scheme—including the competitive advantage it conferred—will never be known due to individuals’ intentional destruction and withholding of materials and information.".

“Scandal” is there a single Michigan fan who will admit to wrong doing?. No?. Didn't think so. Y'all are as bankrupt of integrity as your HC was.
Seeing some of this on my TL. Check out the comments in the post for more entertainment . Now that it is FINALLY over, let's turn the page on this 'scandal' and get ready for FOOTBALL!.

If we allowed the Top 8 teams in a conference into the playoffs, as @CoachDrinkwitz suggested, that would be 32 P4 teams.

"Finish in the Top 8 [of the conference] there's a pathway for success there.". Sir, there are 16 teams in the SEC, if you need half the conference to get into the playoffs for you to get into the playoffs you're just not good enough to compete in the playoffs.
"Is it going to be best long-term for the fans in 5 years, in 10 years, that only 12% of college football is involved in a playoff? NO.". Coach Drink has a strong opinion on the College Football Playoff 👀

Georgia has had more 5-stars picked in the 1st round than make 1st-team All-American since 2016. 45 5-stars signed (some still enrolled):.- 8 Consensus All-Americans, 3 5-stars (6.7%). - 23 1st Team All-Americans, 4 5-stars (8.9%).- 16 first round draft picks, 8 5-stars (17.8%).
Over 2,000 names to consider, these are the players voted as the best of the best among AP All-America selections. Ohio State and Pittsburgh had the most first team selections, with three apiece. OSU had five players selected overall. #CFB2025 #AP #AllAmerica
