This is incredibly disappointing to hear - and incredibly inequitable. The data shows our most vulnerable community members typically have longer working commutes given the large scale housing crisis. Putting the harm on the individual and not on investing in transit is BAD
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says taxing drivers by the mile “shows a lot of promise” and could be a way to fund a big infrastructure overhaul.
