Window collisions are preventable, and contrary to popular belief, they are not a skyscraper problem. Birds collide on lower floors where trees and foliage are reflected in the glass. If birds are hitting your windows, please mark them! 📷: @tristanahigg

There was a big movement of woodpeckers last night, and the yellow-bellied sapsuckers have arrived in force. We've received 7 so far today, among our 25 window-collision victims. It's always hard to see these beautiful birds hurt and killed so needlessly. 📷 @tristanahigg

This magnolia warbler was also among the lucky, if unhappy, few yesterday. If you see a window-struck bird stunned or lying on the sidewalk, you have been chosen to help! Please place the bird in a paper bag (ideally) and bring it to WBF or a rehabber near you. 📷: Phyllis Tseng
