After 100+ redundancies in 2023, the VC @uniofbrighton used her first email of 2024 to announce: 👋Voluntary severance scheme 💀Plan to remove all entitlement to research time from academics 🛑Plan to remove the weekly cap on teaching hours Haven't they caused enough damage?!

It will be deleted by 19/2/24 to avoid a disciplinary. I need to stress that I 100% do not feel directly victimised by the management at UoB and feel grateful for their upstanding treatment of me. Every single day I walk onto campus is like walking through the gates of heaven.

I would sincerely like to say soz 2 my institution. Been told this tweet a) brings UoB into disrepute, b) reveals confidential info (sent via all school email), c) is considered discriminatory, bullying, and harassment. I understand this is the concern. NOT me feeling depressed

Regardless of how supportive you are, stop demanding empathy from striking workers if you’re scabbing.

Look, I am aware and I understand there are many economic, social, political, and gendered reasons why some workers can not or will not strike. However, I need it to be understood that however difficult it is to scab it, is always easier than striking.
