Tonight, NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, a husband and a father, was shot and killed during a vehicle stop. Officer Diller lost his life doing his job—protecting and serving his community. Our prayers are with his loved ones and the entire NYPD. Tonight, New York lost a hero.

There will never be another Richard ‘Mr T’ Tefank. As the Executive Director of the LA Police Commission with his wisdom, integrity, & gentle guidance to Commissioners, Chiefs, & elected officials has often resulted in him being called the 6th Commissioner. Shnorhavorum em

As VP of the Police Commission, I am incredibly proud of the Board’s selection of @LAPDChoi to serve as Interim Police Chief. He is eminently well qualified to lead the LAPD as we search for a permanent Chief to fill the big shoes that @LAPDChiefMoore leaves behind.

Heartbroken for Officer Cunningham’s family, including his young children, and for his LAPD family. It’s devastating how a young adult can choose to drink, drive his car over 100mph, and shatter so many lives in an instant. Truly senseless and tragic.
